“Mmala” is derived from a Sotho word, which simply means “Colour.” While the LGBTQ+ community faces unique challenges, we choose to celebrate the vibrant, resilient spirit that our community embodies. Founded and facilitated by members of the LGBTQ+ community, Mmala Research is a specialized market research company dedicated to bridging the gap between institutions and our community in South Africa.
We don’t just gather insights; we build resources. Through the Mmala Verified Network, we extend our mission by connecting our community with a curated directory of vetted, inclusive professionals—ensuring that every ‘colour’ in our community has access to the safe, dignified, and affirming spaces.
